Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the process, materials, and what to expect — before you reach out.
How much ash do you need?
Only 1–2 tablespoons. We mail you a prepaid collection kit with clear instructions. Most families find it far less than they expected.
Is the process safe and respectful?
Yes. Every sample is handled individually, never mixed with another's. We return any unused portion with your finished piece.
What if I don't have cremation ashes yet?
We can work with hair, fur, dried flowers, or sand from a meaningful place. Just mention it when you reach out.
How long does it take?
3 weeks from the day we receive your sample to the day your keepsake ships. We send photos at key stages so you're never left wondering.
Will the resin yellow or degrade over time?
No. We use UV-stabilized epoxy rated for 20+ years without yellowing or cracking. Your keepsake is built to last a lifetime.
Can I see a proof before you finish?
Yes. We send photos at key production stages for your review and approval before we finalize anything.
What's your return and satisfaction policy?
If you're not satisfied, we remake it at no charge. Your peace of mind is non-negotiable to us.
Do you work with funeral homes?
Yes! We have an active partner program for funeral homes and cremation services. Visit our Partners page to learn more.
I have ashes stored but don't know what to do with them.
You're not alone. An estimated 75 million Americans have cremated remains in storage. A Forever Keepsakes piece turns that into something you can hold, wear, or display.
